Turn your 10 best customers into ambassadors
Pick the right people, choose what they and their friends get, and send them their personal QR code.
Who it's for
Owners with a group of regulars who already recommend the business and would happily bring friends if there was something in it for both sides.
What you'll get
Ten ambassadors with a personal QR code each, a clear benefit for the friends they bring, and a reward that is only issued after a referred purchase is recorded.
Choose your ten
Look for people who come often and talk about you: regulars who already send friends your way. Open Clients to review the people you know best. Ten is a manageable start; you can add more later. Ambassadors can't refer themselves, and each person can be referred only once by the same ambassador, so there is no need to worry about gaming.

Turn on the program and pick a reward mode
In Settings, open Ambassadors and switch the program on. Choose By Referral to give the ambassador a reward for each referred customer who buys (or when their referrals reach a sales target), or By Commission to pay a percentage of their referrals' sales, issued at the end of each month. For regulars recommending friends, By Referral is usually the simpler fit.

Decide the two offers
Write what the friend gets (for example, a discount on their first visit) and what the ambassador gets as a reward, plus how many days the reward stays valid and the message that goes with it. Keep both offers easy to explain in one sentence. Use the affordability playbook if you are unsure how generous to be.
Add each ambassador
In Ambassadors, add each person from your client list. Biguests creates a unique, permanent QR code for them and emails a welcome message with the QR, your message and the benefit their friends receive. If someone loses the email, use the resend option.

Tell them in person, then let the counter do the rest
A short personal ask works best: "Show this QR to friends; they get 20% off their first cut and you get $10 off your next visit." When a friend comes in, your team scans the ambassador's QR, enters the friend's details and purchase total, and approves with the PIN. Friends can also scan the QR beforehand, sign up on your invitation page and get their own QR by email.

At the fictional Northside Barbers, Alex picks regulars such as Marcus, Daniela and Elena. He chooses By Referral. Friends get "20% off their first cut"; the ambassador prize is "$10 off their next visit".
Marcus shares his QR with a coworker, who signs up on the invitation page and gets her own QR. On her visit, the barber scans it, enters the purchase total and the PIN. The referral is linked to Marcus for good, and Marcus receives his reward code by email.
